Vintage Navajo fetish necklace

This is a stunning vintage double strand Navajo carved fetish necklace that is 30” long (hangs at 15”) and weighs 60.7g. Exquisite and unique carvings are from all natural stones and the heishi is very fine and smooth. The only markings on the cones is the word sterling. One little turquoise critter has a small piece broken off of it as seen in the last photo. I had thought it was a turtle or a small bear but upon closer examination it is indeed chipped. It is not very noticeable and in Native American culture it is believed that the broken stone took a hit that was meant for you, thus protecting you. I like that idea!
